Welcome to the January 2020 Stampiin' Up! Maui Trip Achievers Blog Hop! I'm excited that I finally got my act together to actually participate this month, lol! I've had my eye o the On to Adventure stamp set from p.28 of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog for quite some time, and when the Tropical Oasis Suite of products came out in the Mini Catalog I knew they were made for each other! The crazy tourist images are just too funny!
I've been dreaming of the beach lately and decided that this card is a vision of my husband and I in our retirement someday in the far distant future. We both love the beach, and honestly - as much as we both hate the cold NY winters, I'm not sure why we haven't packed up and moved to the beach yet!
Using the Tropical Oasis Memories & More Card Pack made putting this card together pretty easy - that's where the "Let's Go to the Beach" panel came from. I cut all my layers, assembled the card, then stamped my "tourists", colored them with my Stampin' Blends, and then fussy cut them with my Paper Snips and adhered them to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Welcome to the Stamper's Showcase April 2019 Blog Hop!
This month's theme is all about Spring & flowers. I had a great time designing these fun "Hello" cards in spite of the fact that it snowed here in NY yesterday and Spring apparently hasn't gotten the memo that the temperatures are supposed to start warming up! At least it feels warm & cozy in my stamp room!
For the challenge this month I pulled out the retiring Floral Statements stamp set. I haven't used it in awhile but I'm sad to see it go. The flowers are versatile and can be colored to suite just about any flower you need - a flowering crab apple, a beach rose, or even a magnolia.
For the first card I used the retiring In Color Berry Burst. I'm really going to miss this color! And that In Color ruffled ribbon is gorgeous! Though we don't have a set of Berry Burst Blends I thought the Lovely Lipstick Blends coordinated pretty well. I stamped the background with the retiring Sheet Music background stamp.
You can see here that I stamped the image a second time, colored it, and then fussy cut it with my paper snips and popped it up on top of the main image to add some fun dimension. I used my bone folder to gently curl the petals a bit.
For this second card I couldn't resist pairing it with the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper which will be making its debut in the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog coming out on June 4th. That beautiful Petal Pink & White Variegated Ribbon is retiring though too so be sure to snatch some up before it sells out!

Welcome to the Stampin' Up! Greek Isles Trip Achievers April 2019 Blog Hop! Seeing that Stampin' Up!'s Onstage Events were held around the world this past weekend and we all received the new Annual Catalog along with some new products it seemed fitting that our theme this month be New Catalog Sneak Peeks.
I'm pleased to have received the Bird Ballad Suite of products to work with, design projects for, and present at Stampin' Up!'s Onstage Event in Atlantic City, NJ. The projects I shared there can be found in my previous blog post
here. Of course, there are so many more wonderful ways to use the products in this Suite than what I was limited to fitting on my 3x3 display board at Onstage! For example, this sweet bird with blue flowers card! I love that because the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper was originally colored with Blends that it coordinates perfectly with the little bird and branch that I colored with Blends myself.
Here is a close up of the focal image. I cut the blue flowers from one of the Paper patterns and popped it up on a dimensional and added a pearl to the center. I stamped the little bird in Soft Suede ink then colored him with Crumb Cake and Pool Party Blends, a then fussy cut him too so I could pop him onto the card with a dimensional. Don't you just love the soft delicate look of this card?!
