Stampin' Up! at GHS Craft Show

On Saturday I participated in the annual Groton High School Craft Show.  It was cold & windy outside so I appreciate being inside the warm gym drinking hot chocolate and visiting with the other vendors and shoppers.  There was quite the turnout - close to 500 people came out for the event!
 I had a corner booth so I was able to set up two tables - the first with handmade goodies, and the second with retired Stampin' Up! stamp sets, ink pads, and designer papers, etc.

Summer Stampin' Highlights

It seems my blogging has taken a backseat amidst all the commotion this summer so I thought I'd do a little review of some of the "highlights". 

First and foremost, I achieved a Stampin' Up! milestone of $100K career sales!  Many special thanks to my loyal customers and stampin' friends for your continued support over the past 7 years and for bumping up your orders in June so I could reach my goal in time to receive special recognition at the Stampin' Up! 25th Anniversary Convention in Salt Lake City. 
Here I am enjoying the spotlight in the convention Recognition Room. When I purchased my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Starter Kit I never imagined that 7 years later I'd be celebrating such an accomplishment.   Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
I had a great time traveling to Salt Lake City, UT for the Stampin' Up! 25th Anniversary Convention.  This was my very first SU! convention and it was definitely memorable to be there with 6,000 other crazy stampers. 
I even got to have my picture taken by the "famous" Stampin' Up! rock outside the home office!

Since I've been home it's been full speed ahead with classes, workshops, events!
Here's a snapshot of my booth at the annual Lansing Harbor Fest.

And I became an "Auntie" for the first time on Friday, August 2nd when my brother and his wife delivered a 10 pound 5.5 ounce baby girl!
Welcome baby Kaydence!  Isn't she beautiful?!

Well,  those are some of my more memorable moments thus far!  But summer's not quite over... the rain has stopped for a bit here in upstate NY so the weather is absolutely beautiful, and my hubby & I will soon be celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary with a fun Caribbean vacation.

Winterfest Success

What a fun day spent at the Groton Winterfest yesterday! 

 I actually remembered to take pictures of my booth this time!

Snowman Kisses

I saw the cutest little gift idea on Pinterest awhile back and decided to make up a bunch to sell at the craft shows I went to this month and give to my November Stampin' Up! Workshop hostesses. 

The original idea came from Rochelle W and she has a nice little tutorial here:  http://impressionsbyrochelle.blogspot.com/2007/12/snowman-kisses.html  

 Inside the front flap is a poem that reads: 

He’s cute, Cuddly,
& full of good wishes.
He wants to give you
These snowman kisses!

They were pretty easy to make - you just need is a pack of Tic Tacs, a paper cutter, a 1" circle punch, ribbon, and a pair of paper snips.  I love the Googlie Eyes from Stampin' Up! since they already have the adhesive on them so I used those for the snowman's eyes.  The ribbon is from the Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon & Button Pack that's a steal on the SU! Clearance Rack for just $3.99  There's even a Simply Scrappin' Kit to match!

Lansing Harbor Fest

Thought you might enjoy seeing some pictures of my booth at Lansing Harbor Fest last Saturday. 


It was a beautiful day for spending time at the park.  The bands were great, the chicken bbq was delicious, and I met a lot of new people with an interest in papercrafting!  Looking forward to doing it again next year!
