Daryl & Ashley's Wedding Cruise
Did you miss me?! On Friday, October 19th my family & I traveled to Miami, FL for my brother's wedding cruise. We spent Friday night in Miami, had dinner at Hard Rock, and enjoyed cruising around the South Beach area in a stretch limo!
The next morning we boarded the Carnival Liberty for Daryl & Ashley's wedding. We boarded early and the wedding was at 12:45pm with a reception following. It was a beautiful intimate gathering with a total of 18 of us in attendance.
Then we set sail for a 7 day cruise of the Western Caribbean. We enjoyed visiting the ports of Cozumel, Belize, and Roatan. We missed Grand Cayman as hurricane Sandy off in the distance made the water too choppy. It was definitely a once in a lifetime family vacation! I took over 300 photos!
We were supposed to arrive home on Saturday afternoon. However, our plane in Miami had some mechanical issues causing our flight to be significantly delayed so we missed our connection in Chicago. Thankfully American Airlines put us up in a very nice hotel for the night and we caught the one and only flight to Syracuse on Sunday before the storm blew in.
We spent the last two days doing laundry, preparing for Hurricane Sandy, and trying to adjust back to the normal routine. We are very thankful to have experienced only minimal wind and rain yesterday and today. Our hearts go out to all those seriously affected by devastation caused by this monster storm.
