With the high temps, rain, and intense humidity we've been having this past week in NY I feel like I'm living in the tropics. Thus, I thought it was fitting to pull out this fun Tropical Hideaway background stamp and make a couple of quick & easy cards!
Bonus - today is also my 16 year Stampiversary as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and since the very beginning I've loved all their tropical, beach, and sea related stamps, ink, and papers!!
This card features a simple one ink design - the background and sentiment are both stamped in Shaded Spruce ink, contrasted by the bright Parakeet Party cardstock and embellished with a few Faux Sea Glass Shapes.
Measurements:
Card Base - Parakeet Party 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"; score at 4 1/4" and fold
Layer 1 - Shaded Spruce 4" x 5 1/4"; die cut palm leaf out of center
Layer 2 - Parakeet Party 3 3/4" x 5"
Layer 3 - Basic White 1" x 2 3/4"

Welcome to our Creative Card-iology Team March 2021 Blog Hop! This month we're sharing projects created with a Springy Butterfly theme. I absolutely love the Butterfly Brilliance background stamp and thought it would be fun to play around with a way to stamp the butterflies in different colors. Stampin' Up!'s ink spots and Stamparatus were just what I needed!
Because the stamped butterfly background was so pretty I decided to use it as designer series paper. I added a lovely sentiment from the Very Versailles stamp set and popped it up on a stitched circle accented by some Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon and a sprinkle of Rhinestones.

With the launch of this tool, Stampin’ Up! is trying something different: testing a new reservation system. It acts like a true preorder: you reserve your spot and SU! guarantees shipment as soon as the product arrives intheir warehouse. Demonstrators and customers will place reservations and receive their product at the same time. This system will allow SU! to get the product to market as soon as possible while avoiding backorders and efficiently managing inventory.
The global launch will feature three reservation windows. For each window, please note the following:
- Reservation quantities are while supplies last.
- Limit 1 tool per customer per reservation window.
- In order to reserve your Stamparatus, you are required to provide your credit card information.
- Credit cards will not be charged until the Stamparatus ships from our facility. When you close your order, be sure to verify that your credit card and shipping information is correct.
