Welcome to our Creative Cardiology Team August 2021 Sale A Bration Blog Hop! This month we're sharing projects featuring Stampin' Up!'s awesome Second Sale A Bration products that are available for free with qualifying orders placed during the months of August - September 2021.
I absolutely love the Delicate Dahlias stamp set and drew my inspiration for the colors I used on my card from one of my summer dresses.
In order to recreate the effect of the bright colored Dahlias and leaves with a dark navy background I pulled out my Versamark ink pad, clear embossing powder, and heat tool and used the Joseph's Coat Emboss Resist Technique.
Heat embossing is the technique that really hooked me on stamping 15+ years ago, and it's still fascinating to watch the embossing powder melt over the stamped images and become textured & shiny!
I wove the Gold Ribbon behind my Double Oval punched sentiment, adhered it with Stampin' Seal, and then affixed it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Measurements:
Card Base:Thick Basic White cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
Layer 1: Night of Navy cardstock 4" x 5 1/4" + scrap for scalloped oval punch
Layer 2: Basic White cardstock 3 3/4" x 5" + scrap for oval punch
Gold Ribbon: Approximately 9"

Welcome to the October 2020 Stamper's Showcase Blog Hop! This month's theme is all about embossing techniques.
One of my favorite forms of embossing is dry embossing using Stampin’ Up!’s fantastic embossing folders.
The new Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder in the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog is amazing! It’s easy to overlook in the catalog, but it makes such an impact on card. I just love the way this trio of Metallic Cardstocks looks when embossed with the Evergreen Forest folder and used as the backdrop for our Moose punched from the woodgrain pattern of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper! I thought the “Wildly Grateful” sentiment from the Lovely You stamp set was fitting and stamped it in Early Espresso ink.
Shaded Spruce Card Base 5-1/2” x 11”
Early Espresso 3-3/4” x 5”
Trio of Brushed Metallics 1-1/2” x 3-1/2” (one of each metallic)
Whisper White 1-3/4” x 2-1/2” punch with Story Label Punch
Welcome to the Stamper's Showcase June 2020 Blog Hope featuring new products from the 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog! One of my favorite new products is the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle. The detailed Sunflower diecut is so pretty and when paired with the bright new 2020-2022 In Colors and Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper it can create a fun Summer card.
I thought it would be fun to use the Sunflower die cuts to create a Gate Fold across the front of the card. I tacked a small portion of each Sunflower to the back of the card panel and folded them over to form the gates, and used a 17" strip of Bumblebee 1/4" Ginham Ribbon tied in a bow to close the card.
This is what the card look like when the ribbon is untied. I used three Gilded Gems in the center of each Sunflower to look like seeds.
The sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set coordinated perfectly with the card when stamped in Misty Moonlight ink.
When the card is fully open you can see where I tacked the leaves to the back of the Sunflowers.
