Stampin' Up! Quick & Simple Poinsettia Place Thank You Cards for Kylie's Demonstrator Support Program December 2020 Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog, Jess B Creative "Card"-iology!  Today I'm participating in a blog hop with other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the globe as part of our friend Kylie Bertucci's Demonstrator Support Program.  Our theme is "Thank You" cards, and I've chose a fun, quick, and simple design that I think you're going to love!
I chose to use the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper because I thought it would work great for some pretty wintry nature cards.
I used the Holly / Winter Berries pattern alternated with the Woodgrain pattern for the first card.
For the second card I used the two pine bough / pine branch patterns.
I made a quick video (12 minutes) showing how I made these quick & simple cards with tips for cutting your paper strips that you can check out here.
I hope you enjoyed visiting my blog, Jess B Creative "Card"-iology, and would like to invite you to visit the blogs of the other program participants below to see what fun projects they've created for you too!

One Card Sketch Done Two Ways for Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop March 2019

Hello and welcome to my blog, Jess B Creative "Card"-iology!  Today I'm participating in a Blog Hop with other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as part of my friend Kylie Bertucci's Demonstrator Training Group.  We've joined together to inspire you with our creative designs and I hope you'll enjoy them!

Today I'm sharing one of my go-to card sketches for quick and simple cards:
Card Base:  5 1/2 x 8 1/2
Contrasting Cardstock Layer 1:  3 3/4 x 5
Whisper White Cardstock Layer 2:  3 1/2 x 4 3/4

I've been wanting to use the limited edition Lovely Lattice Sale A Bration stamp set for awhile now and thought pairing it with a bright color combination of Flirty Flamingo and Night of Navy would be perfect for Spring.  Though the temperatures here in upstate NY aren't quite cooperating yet, the days are getting a little longer each day so that's a plus!  The large lattice image looked lovely on its own just stamped in Night of Navy ink, but it really popped once I spotlighted a few images by coloring them with my Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive Stampin' Blends Markers.  I used just a touch of Daffodil Delight for the flower centers, and added a few Pearl embellishments to complete the look.  This card would be perfect for any occasion, but I'm gifting it to one of my Creative "Card"-iologists team members in honor of her recent promotion to Bronze Elite.

I also needed a quick baby card for a friend so I decided to follow the same card sketch but swapped out the Flirty Flamingo for Lemon Lime Twist to make it more "baby boy" appropriate and used the super cute new Perfectly Paired stamp set from the Occasions Catalog.  I just love all those little animals piled up in Noah's Ark!  I colored the little flag in Balmy Blue, but you could easily color it in Flirty Flamingo to make it a card for a little girl.
Instructions & Measurements:
Base Layer Cardstock:  5 1/2 x 8 1/2
Night of Navy Cardstock:  3 3/4 x 5

1. Adhere Night of Navy cardstock layer to the card base.
2. Stamp image using Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White cardstock.
3.  Adhere stamped panel to the card front.
4. Color image using Stampin' Blends Markers.
5. Finish the card by adding embellishments as desired.
