Delicate Dahlias in Bumblebee & Magenta Madness for the Stamper's Showcase August Sale A Bration Blog Hop

Welcome to the August 2021 Stamper's Showcase Blog Hop!  This month we're sharing pulling out all the stops to share projects featuring the amazing products you can get for free with a qualifying order during the first ever Sale A Bration 2.0 being offered during the months of August - September.  One of my favorite Second Sale a Bration offerings is the Delicate Dahlias stamp set you can select for Free with a purchase of $100 US.  The combination of colors you can use is endless and the resulting images are gorgeous!
I actually planted some Dahlias around our outdoor patio this year and with all the rain we've had they've been doing great.  The flowers are so pretty that I used them as the color inspiration for my card.
I fussy cut one of the Dahlias for the focal image of the card, used a sponge dauber to ink the edges with Magenta Madness, and then dazzled up the whole flower with some Wink of Stella.  When the light hits just right you can really see it sparkle!
The Artistry Blooms Sequins add the perfect finishing touch to the card with their iridescence reflecting both the Bumblebee and Magenta colors.
Card Base:  Magenta Madness cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"; score & fold at 4 1/4"
Layer 1:  Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"; stamped & center die cut with Stitched Rectangle Dies
Layer 2:  Magenta Madness cardstock 2 3/4" x 4 1/4"
Scraps of Magenta Madness & Basic White cardstock punched with the Double Oval Punch
Basic White cardstock for stamped Dahlia & 3 stamped Leaves

Stampin' Up! Delicate Dahlias Joseph's Coat Emboss Resist Technique Card for the Creative Cardiology Team August SAB Blog Hop

Welcome to our Creative Cardiology Team August 2021 Sale A Bration Blog Hop!  This month we're sharing projects featuring Stampin' Up!'s awesome Second Sale A Bration products that are available for free with qualifying orders placed during the months of August - September 2021.
I absolutely love the Delicate Dahlias stamp set and drew my inspiration for the colors I used on my card from one of my summer dresses.
In order to recreate the effect of the bright colored Dahlias and leaves with a dark navy background I pulled out my Versamark ink pad, clear embossing powder, and heat tool and used the Joseph's Coat Emboss Resist Technique.
Heat embossing is the technique that really hooked me on stamping 15+ years ago, and it's still fascinating to watch the embossing powder melt over the stamped images and become textured & shiny!
I wove the Gold Ribbon behind my Double Oval punched sentiment, adhered it with Stampin' Seal, and then affixed it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
This is such a fun technique card that I created a video tutorial for you to watch at:

Card Base:Thick Basic White cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"

Layer 1:  Night of Navy cardstock 4" x 5 1/4" + scrap for scalloped oval punch

Layer 2:  Basic White cardstock 3 3/4" x 5" + scrap for oval punch

Gold Ribbon:  Approximately 9"
