An Event-Full Weekend: The Wedding Shower

A Bridal Shower, A 25th Anniversary Party, and a Graduation Party all in one weekend - it certainly was eventfull!

On Saturday afternoon I hosted a family wedding shower for my brother Daryl and his fiance Ashley.  I'm so glad the weather cooperated as we had no "plan B"!  There were 24 of us and our back deck was party central.  Ashley's favorite color is bright pink and Daryl's is John Deer green.  I wanted to use a combination of both colors as well as incorporate tropical and tractor elements.  The wedding will take place in October aboard a Caribbean cruise, and well, my brother is a farmer!  Here's the shower invitation I designed and then early last month several of my family members came over to put them together assembly line style.  Definitely unique and several of the shower guests said how much they loved them!

Stamps:  Tropical Party & By Land (both retired)
Paper:  Whisper White & Melon Mambo cardstock.  Tropical Party DSP (retired)
Ink:  Melon Mambo & Gumball Green
Accessories:  Sm. Heart Punch, Heart Framelits, Old Olive Ribbon (retired)

These next couple of photos are of the card I gave them and the gift set of coordinating thank you notes I made for them.
And of course - a snapshot of the happy couple!
We had to have dessert too!
